Why North Star Badger? Well, Minnesota's 'gophers' are really thirteen-lined ground squirrels used in an 1857 political cartoon celebrating corruption in the state's legislature. And having been born on the 'wrong' side of the St. Croix, I am something of a displaced mustelid omnivore who found another home in our North Star state.
