56. Pearl ornament, somewhat heart-shaped, from mounds near St. Peter. Deposited in the museum by J. Blackiston. This object was identified as being a funerary item so it is currently in the process of repatriation.

65. One stone slab, 18 inches in length, apparently used for rubbing and tanning skins. From Dakota. Presented by Col. J. B. Clough.

69. Stone ax, withed, of dark dioryte, found near Albert Lea. Presented by Rev. L. J. Hauge.

78. Copper chisel, 1 to 1 1/3 inches wide, 7 inches long. From the same mound with the preceding. Presented by John H. Mosse.

200.  Bone whistle. From a mound on top of a butte N.W. of Mandan, Dak. (1882) When found it was nearly covered with some kind of a braided fiber, but which was decayed so it fell off. Presented March 8th, 1886 by H.V. Winchell.
