D.L. Curtice

 

 

Mr. D. L. Curtice was a surveyor and civil engineer who came to St. Paul in 1856. He was Saint Paul’s city engineer from 1858-59 and 1869-74. Curtice was also the Ramsey County surveyor from 1883 to 1885. He published an atlas of St. Paul from 1880 to 1884 under the name of Polk & Co, in 1885 as Curtice & Potts, and then as Curtice’s Map of St. Paul from 1886 through 1901, with revised posthumous versions up until 1915. Curtice also put out a Standard Atlas of St. Paul in 1887 and revised in 1904. Curtice Street in West St. Paul is named after him.
